This week in media class we shelved our books. We straightened our shelves and I also helped put books on the yellow cart. I am reading this book called "These Broken Stars" by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner. It is a chapter book and is very interesting so far. It is a romantic story book and also a New York Times Best Seller book. I would recommend it to other students, who like love story's. I have completed my section info sheet and shared it with Mrs. Holleman. I have to catch up on my Reading Blogs so I can get a grade on them.

This week in media class, I worked on my section info. We got a grade for that. As a class, all together, we discussed which books we should keep and which books we should get rid of again. I straightened my section. This week has been a pretty calm week. Today we are just working on whatever we need to catch up on. Such as section info, reading blog, media lessons, and etc.
This week in this media class, we received a list of books from Mrs. Holleman. This list contained of when the book was made, the author, and the title of the book. We got these books from our section and brought them to the table at which we sit at. We discussed if we should keep each book or not. We examined the book to see if it had any rough edges, water spills, and/or ripped pages. If our books had any of these damages then we would get rid of them.Today i helped a student put a box full of books in the rollie room.
In this media class we are starting a new quarter, so we organized our shelves. We talked about how we would be able to take a test on a graphic novel and how to make a test for a graphic novel. We also talked about nonfiction and fiction books
Week 8 of media class, i organized my section more so the we could get a grade on everything we have did in this class. We talked about what were some good questions to make up for books that doesn't have an RC test. I helped Mrs. Holleman organize and put books on the yellow cart.
Week 7 of this media class i learned more about the rollie room. I learned why there were many copies of the same book in a box. These books would get put in the rollie room or either discarded because we are getting new books and/or no longer in need of them because they are old. The rollie room is organized the same as shelving books. First three letters of the author's first name, and the call number for nonfiction books. When putting books in boxes in the rollie room, you have to count how many books there are to make sure the number of books in the piece of paper is correct. I also learned that CLS stands for "classroom set". These books go to classrooms so each student can have their own book, to read as a group.
This week, we just did more of our weebly. The book fair has been a big deal this week. We have been reading, doing our reading blogs and media lessons.
Week 5 of this media class we filled out a section info sheet. This section info sheet is something that we fill out with information of our own section. This sheet helped us learn more about our section.
Week 4 of this media class, we learned how to do a scavenger hunt with our section. We also shelved books this week. We got to know our section more by doing the scavenger hunt.
We are now working on our Reading Blog. We definitely know who to shelve books now, which is so much fun! W learned how to download pictures and books on Destiny for free, which is pretty cool.
